In response to a request by a number of parishioners for an opportunity to come together to reflect on Scripture, to learn more about our faith, and to share with one another, The Spiritual Formation
Committee is sponsoring once again, Our Small Faith Sharing Groups: The Healing Stories of Jesus.
During this Season of Lent, we will examine six of the Gospel stories in which Jesus healed those
suffering from a variety of physical or spiritual afflictions. While healings demonstrate the love and
compassion that Jesus has for each one of us, they are also a sign of the new creation he came to
inaugurate—an announcement that the kingdom of God is at hand. Even today, supernatural healing gifts are meant to be a sign that God is present and active in the world today. This study will help you view Jesus' healings in a new way and encourage you to pray for healing for yourself, your family, and those you encounter each day.
Each session features:
• the Scripture text to be studied and insightful commentary.
• questions for reflection, discussion, and personal application.
• "In the Spotlight" sections featuring witnesses of modern-day healings.
Each participant receives a book. The atmosphere is informal and a trained leader will help to facilitate the prayer and sharing. The cost of the 6-week program is $10.00, which covers the cost of the book, shipping and handling.
Groups meet the weeks of March 3, March 10, March 17, March 24, March 31, April 7
The deadline to register is February 17. The Book cost is $10. Make checks payable to
Saint Paschal Baylon. Don’t let course cost prohibit your attendance. Scholarships are
available. Note on the online registration form if you require financial assistance.

Purpose: We collaborate with our cluster parish, Saint Clare, to provide adult faith formation opportunities. In the fall, we have either a guest speaker or a class that deepens our knowledge and love of God. During the fall session, we focus on Church Documents or Scripture Study. In the fall and during Lent, we publicize and encourage participation in our Small Faith Sharing Groups. The Small Group Program started in the fall of 2015. At present, we have six groups. They meet during the morning, afternoon, and evening. During the fall session, we focus on Church documents or Scripture study. During the six weeks of Lent, the focus is on studying and putting into practice the Mass Readings to prepare ourselves for the celebration of the Resurrection. We plan, organize and sponsor the yearly parish mission held during Lent. We also prepare the Epiphany Packets, which contain a prayer, chalk, and Holy Water to bless our homes for the New Year. We usually make 1500 packets. The Spiritual Formation Commission meets four times a year, and meeting dates are posted on both Saint Paschal's and Saint Clare's yearly calendars.
