The Saint Paschal PSR teaching staff hopes to share with you the meaning of Christian life through teaching the message of Jesus as revealed to us by God and proclaimed by the Church. We hope to encourage the development of your family's God-given talents for service to others in building one true Christian community. The registration form and the calendar are below.
Saint Paschal Baylon PSR is for students in grades K-8. We meet Monday evenings at Saint Paschal Baylon School from 6:30-7:30 pm from September through May.
Hi everyone,
We hope you are doing well. Families will have two options for PSR this year: in-person and online. The registration form, calendar, and online instructions are below. A few notes:
1. Please complete the form and submit it to us with your payment by Monday, August 21. You can drop this off at the parish office Monday-Friday, 8-4, or you can mail it to my attention. The address is below.
2. If you choose the online program, you will sign up and submit payment to My Catholic Faith Delivered directly. If you are new and did not use this last year, the directions are below. You will still need to fill out the registration form in full.
3. You can have your child(ren) attend in-person or online if that works best for your family. Your whole family does not have to choose one option (you can have one child in-person and another online). Please note that if your child needs to miss more than 10 PSR classes, they must sign up for the online class only. We will not be able to have a child attend in-person part-time and online part-time.
4. If you have a child in the 2nd or 8th grade, a separate email will be sent in mid-August regarding First Communion or Confirmation. There are separate events/classes in the 2nd and 8th grades in addition to PSR. The calendar will be sent in the email in August. We will be having opening meetings once the school year begins, so please hold your questions until then as we are still finalizing plans for this year. Signing up for the online program does not impact sacraments.
God bless,

"A catechist, commissioned and supported by the parish and pastor, is entrusted with the important role of formally presenting the story of Faith to our young people in a way that enables them to see and experience faith as a 'living reality.'
Just as the pastor gathers the parish to celebrate and share in the life of the Spirit alive in the faith community, so the catechist gathers the children and creates opportunities for them to experience the meaning and importance of Jesus in their lives.
A catechist is faithful to the past, open to the future, but especially dedicated to deepening the faith of the present generation.
A catechist is an ordinary person who is extraordinary because he or she teaches as Jesus did."
If you are interested in becoming a catechist please call Brother James Owens at (440) 442-3410 ext. 108
