Purpose: This liturgical ministry proclaims the Word of God at various liturgies throughout the year, especially for Sunday Eucharist. Different teams for Sunday and weekday Masses and leaders support the coverage of the proclamation.

Commitment: A lector would spend half an hour preparing for weekend readings.

Background: Lectors should be able to speak with confidence before the assembly.
