KofC Gilmour Council #310, chartered in 1898, serves the Saint Paschal Baylon, Saint Clare, and Saint Francis of Assisi parishes. In addition to annual gifts to these parishes, Gilmour supports vocations, special needs programs, women’s shelters and maternity centers, Coats For Kids, Catholic education, Catholic radio and more. Gilmour knights run the Keep Christ In Christmas art contest and the KofC Free Throw competition in our parish schools. The council has recently purchased an ultrasound machine for Veranova Health.
The Knights of Columbus is an Order of practicing Catholic men, true to its founding principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Founded by Blessed Michael J McGivney in 1882 to provide security to its members’ widows and orphans, the Order has grown from Saint Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT to 18,000+ councils and more than 2 million members in the Americas, Europe and Asia, the largest laymen's organization in the Catholic Church.
