Purpose: Associates of the Blessed Sacrament are lay men and women who have experienced a call to be and do more in living and sharing the mission and charism of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. The Aggregation of lay associates was founded by Saint Peter Julian to assist the religious in their ministry of making the Eucharist known and loved as a transformative force in the church and society.
Commitment: Associates engage in a formation process and make public promises to live their lives centered on the Eucharist. In partnership with the priests, deacon and brothers they engage in service to the parish, outreach to the poor, liturgical ministries, prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, encourage a eucharistic way of life among family and friends, visit the infirm and elderly and perform other acts of charity that manifest the presence of Christ given to us in the Eucharist.
